Meishan iron mine is located in the outskirts of Nanjing, With the rapid development of Nanjing city in recent years, requisition of land for tailings reservoir is hard to implement. Tailings disposal problem is becoming more and more serious. The existing tailing reservoir can just meet the normal production of 4 to 5 years.It can't meet the needs of tailings storage on the mine production period.If choose another place to build a new tailings reservoir,it will Take up a lot of land not only, still need to relocate residents, investment is large, and destroy the surface ecological environment.

The whole tailings backfilling filling system test at Meishan iron mine in Nanjing launched in June 2014. Through this experiment made by water separator, whole tailings of Meishan iron mine consist of 81.7% -200 mesh tailing sand, 73.5% -600 mesh tailing sand and 64.4% -800 mesh tailing sand. The result of the test shows that whole tailings of Meishan iron mine belong to badly graded very fine tailing sand.

In order to carry out the experiments for selection and prescription of cementing material pointedly, to analyze the chemical constituents of tailing sand before the experiments. The results are shown in Table 1.

Raw material of KY6# cementing material is mainly S95 superfine slag powder, raw material of KY8# cementing material is mainly superfine slag powder and a small amount of steel slag powder, raw material of KY9# cementing material is mainly superfine slag powder and a moderate amount of fly ash. Through multigroup laboratory contrast tests, ultimately KY6# cementing material of gocom is recommended as whole tailings backfilling filling material. KY6# cementing material has better properties than cement or other binding material,and meet the requirement of the strength of filling body.

Under the condition of the same cement-sand ratio, the test blocks made by KY6# cementing material have significant higher intensity than the test blocks made by 42.5 cement. Under the condition of the weight concentration is 65%,and KY6# cementing material with cement-sand ratio 1:3, the 28 day strength is 7.61MPa.When the cement-sand ratio is 1:4, the 28 day strength is 6.17 MPa. When the cement-sand ratio is 1:5, the 28 day strength is 4.84 MPa. Under the condition of the weight concentration is 65%, and 42.5 cement with cement-sand ratio 1:3, the 28 day strength is 4.48MPa.When the cement-sand ratio is 1:4, the 28 day strength is2.5 MPa. When the cement-sand ratio is 1:5, the 28 day strength is 2.25MPa. The test blocks made by KY6# cementing material has 2.06 times, 2.47 times and 1.94 times the strength of the test blocks made by 42.5 cement.

 

Through comprehensive analysis, come to a conclusion eventually . The whole tailings backfilling , paste-like backfilling , KY6# cementing material , the cement-sand ratio is 1:5, the weight concentration is 60% ,the cost of cementing material is 64.18 yuan per cubic metre. Paste filling , KY6# cementing material , the cement-sand ratio is 1:6 , the weight concentration is 65% , the cost of cementing material is 59.81 yuan per cubic metre.
