Anhui MAANSHAN Luohe iron mine is located in Lujiang County of Anhui city in Hefei Province, the project construction process, problems land difficult, costly and time consuming, serious impact on the construction progress and the relationship between mine and local residents. Luo river iron ore by early caving mining, leading to 2940 acres of land subsidence area, the relocation of 3 to 4 villages, 870 acres of land for waste dump. At the same time pay gully tailings can only serve about 15 years, the construction of Hu Ling tailings tailings project to meet the demand. Hu Ling tailings need 2350 acres of land, the relocation of 7 to 8 villages。

According to the existing problems of the Luo river iron ore, mycourtyard green mine construction, create a harmonious mining area planning concept, Luo river iron ore long-term development program, the change of mining method by caving method for filling method. The implementation of filling mining method, the orebody depth of more than 450m, the surface deformation is unlikely, mining mobile monitoring area within the scope of land expropriation without upper houses, no relocation, monitoring, pay gully tailings can meet the project demand stockpiled tailings. Compared with the caving scheme, reduce more than 5290 acres of land, reduce the difficulty and cost of the resettlement work.

Luo river iron ore in Jianghuai Hilly Region, the most economical and reliable filling aggregate for concentrator tailings. The laboratory test, Luo river iron ore grade of tail sand distribution -200 accounted for 62.2%, -400 accounted for 51.1, -625 accounted for 45.3% of total tailings, non-uniform coefficient is 7.72, the curvature coefficient is 0.42, the weighted average particle size is 0.054mm. The whole tailings particle size is not uniform, discontinuous changes, mainly consist of fine grains, and the more content of fine mud, is poorly graded fine tailings.

The whole tailings chemical composition and phase analysis by using X fluorescence spectrum analyzer, chemical analysis and XRD diffraction analyzer, finally obtains the chemical composition of whole tailings analysis results are shown in table 1.
