Fan shan Phosphorus mine in HeBei province is the largest company engaged in the Phosphorus mine mining and selecting in the north of our country, and it is the major construction projects in the “Eight-five” period in our country. The mine began to counstruct in April 1988and put into operation in December 1997. The designed production capacity is 1.2million tons per year.

The mining method changed from the caving method to the filling method. Because there exists the high pressure aquifer in the ore body overburden , it is greatly restrict the efficient and stable produce of the mine. Combined the level of technology with production status of the mine, our company carried out a reasonable optimization research focused on the ore mining methods and facilities used in the confined aquifer covered section, proposed a waterproof and flood control method which includes three steps that are Roof pre-control and Partition isolation and Instant filling. At the same time, based on the existing feature of the accompanying super-lean-magnetite ore, we designed a mining process contain three steps that are Sublevel drilling ,Sublevel mining and filling later,we also designed a ore-dressing process contain four steps that are five sections of flotation phosphorus, three sections of strong magnetic iron, and re-election - magnetic separation ilmenite in two pieces .

The completion of the project solved the technical problems that ore mining under the high confined aquifer is difficult and require a high safety, at the same time, it achieved the efficient extraction and the comprehensive utilization of many types of ores. Technological achievements of the project provide a theoretical basis and practice for the efficient extraction of the ore in other similarly condition, it laid a good foundation for the healthy and steady development of the enterprise, at the same time, it relieved the serious situation that the scarcity of the Phosphorus mine in our north country, it played a positivity role in promoting for the regional economic development as well as the prosperity of the mining business. This project has a prominent benefit for the society and economic and it will have a wide range of industrial applications.
